Sustainability
The Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) is actively committed to sustainable tourism. We work closely with our tenants, suppliers and visitors to improve the site’s environmental performance.
Over the past two years, we have vastly upgraded our waste management and recycling system in partnership with Greenwich Council. We have also installed a number of modern technologies, such as motion sensors on lights and low flush sensor tabs in our toilets, which have increased energy efficiency and reduced water consumption.
We also encourage our visitors to support sustainable tourism and to cycle or to travel by public transport to the ORNC.
Recognition
In 2008 we were amongst London’s first heritage attractions to be assessed as part of the London Development Agency’s Green Tourism Business Scheme and received the prestigious silver award in 2010.
