How much does a group tour cost?

Group tours cost £7.50 per person and are for groups of 15 or more. Please note that there is a minimum charge £90 if there are 15 or less attendees on the day.

We have also put together two group itineraries at £25 per person, which include lunch. See our group packages for details.

Where will our group have lunch and who will cater for us?

Your group can enjoy a delicious lunch or cream tea in the King William Undercroft. With its elegant columns and vaulted ceiling, it provides the perfect space when visiting as part of a group. 

It is located beneath the Painted Hall and was originally designed as a dining hall for Greenwich Pensioners when the ORNC was the Royal Hospital for Seamen. It has provided a venue for entertaining and dining since 1750s and today it is run by Leith’s.

Leith’s specialise in providing conference and banqueting, hospitality services to cultural, arts and exhibition locations throughout the country, including the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC).

Can we purchase souvenirs remind us of our visit?

The Shop at the Old Royal Naval College is the ideal place to pick up inspiring gifts, postcards and our short guidebook. Our shop is located near to Greenwich town centre in the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre. Mini guide books can be pre-ordered and available on arrival for your tour.

Is there disabled access to the ORNC?

We can arrange for dedicated wheelchair assistants to help your group during their guided tours at no extra charge. The Jacobean Undercroft is inaccessible to wheelchair users.

Can I visit the ORNC with a self-guided group?

We welcome self-guided groups to the ORNC, but you must book in your group before your visit. All groups of 15 more people are required to book in advance as the Painted Hall and Chapel get very busy and groups may be turned away. A permit will be issued on arrival in the Painted Hall. We ask for £5 donation from all groups of 15 people and £10 for groups of 16 - 30 people, which should be paid upon receipt of the permit.
