Our experienced learning team use the unique history, architecture and geography of the Old Royal Naval College, including the Painted Hall, Chapel and our dedicated learning space - the Clore Learning Centre, to offer a range of creative learning opportunities.
Our core school sessions are interactive, free of charge, and link to the national curriculum. Through our creative workshops, children learn about history, geography, art, design and technology, drama and maths, while at the same time being encouraged to value and engage with our site.
We aim to remove barriers from those who are underprivileged and don’t have the ability to access heritage. That is why we believe it is vital to offer creative, high-quality educational opportunities to children – particularly those who struggle because of deprivation, disability, learning difficulties or cultural/language barriers.
Visiting schools are mainly from the London boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham, although more schools are now coming from Tower Hamlets, Newham and beyond. This part of London includes significant areas of deprivation as well as a high proportion of children whose first language is not English.
Just £9 helps us give a child a hands-on, inspiring and enjoyable learning experience.
