Why?

• Volunteering is a great way to gain skills and experience, especially if you want a career in the museum sector.
• It is a great way to meet new people and become part of a welcoming and friendly team.
• It gives volunteers the opportunity to share their passion for history with visitors.

When?

• Ideally we would like a regular commitment of half a day per week for three months. However, we can talk to you about what you can offer and hopefully fit around your schedule.

Where?

• Volunteers are based in our Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre to act as the public face of the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC).
• Volunteers assist and welcome visitors and school groups. Supervise visitors and exhibits for security reasons. In addition, help with events, activities and run handling sessions.

*We receive applications from potential volunteers throughout the year but recruit new volunteers only periodically. We will next be recruiting in April 2012. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering, please still fill out the application form and we will be in touch in due course.
