We're easy to visit with close access to boats, trains, DLR and buses. We encourage visitor to walk, cycle and use public transport wherever possible.

Ticket Prices

General Admission

Tickets for the Painted Hall give you unlimited re-entry for a whole year. Simply register your details when you book (either online or at the Visitor Centre) to convert your day ticket to an annual pass. Talks and tours run throughout the day and are included in the price of your ticket. On rare occasions, the site may close for events, please refer to our closures page before visiting.

We are pleased to offer concessionary rates to students and job-seekers plus serving personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces.

Your admission ticket also includes entrance to the Victorian Skittle Alley, a rare example of an early skittle alley, with a fascinating insight into the lives of the Greenwich Pensioners who inhabited the site.

Annual Pass

Buy a General Admission ticket and you can visit for free all year. Simply convert any adult, concession* or ArtPass ticket into an Annual Pass by asking at the ticket desk or via the QR code given on arrival and you’ll have access to the Painted Hall, exhibitions, our tours, Discover Greenwich and more for 12 months at no extra cost.

What can I see for free?

Our extensive riverside grounds are open daily for you to explore. They are a perfect place to relax, stroll, or have a picnic, surrounded by some of the finest buildings in the world. You can also visit the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul to admire the neoclassical interiors, to listen to the Monday Evensong, or to attend a Chapel Service. Find out what’s on at the Chapel.

Getting Here

Located right beside the River Thames in London, we’re a short journey away from the centre of the City and very easy to reach by tube, train, bus, boat or bike. Our Visitor Centre is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the pier or DLR station and directly opposite the famous ship, The Cutty Sark.
