The University of Greenwich Choir fulfils a long-held ambition to present Mozart’s awe-inspiring Mass in C Minor, one of Mozart’s most ambitious and memorable works, a celebration of music and the human voice. The second part of the concert includes gorgeous choral classics such as Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Elgar’s The Snow, Michael Tippett’s version of ‘Steal Away’, and the sumptuous Evening Hymn by Balfour Gardiner. Music Director Nicholas Jenkins gives his farewell performance after a long and happy association with the University of Greenwich, before moving on to become Glyndebourne Chorus Master.
