For one amazing day on Sunday 29 September, paddle sports will take over the River Thames to be centre stage in the world's greatest city. With the stunning backdrop of the Old Royal Naval College as its finishing line, join us as we applaud the participants whilst enjoying our spectacular grounds.

Thanks to the routine, planned closure of the Thames Barrier, participants will get a totally unique experience with a significantly reduced tidal flow of the river and no other non-racing boats!

This pioneering event will fundraise for great causes such as Thames21, London Youth Rowing and Mates in Mind. Connecting sport with the environment and inspiring thousands of people from across the country to take up paddle sports.

You can choose to either kayak, canoe, row or stand up paddle board along one of our iconic routes. Either, The London Crossing (starting near Hammersmith and finishing in Greenwich), or The Big Ben Challenge (looped course from Putney to Big Ben and back).

A much-deserved celebration awaits all racers and challengers at the finish zones too. You’ll be welcomed home by our amazing charities, partners and the environmental organisations who support Regatta London. Each finish area will have a variety of activities and food and drink stalls.
