Meet a surgeon from the time and learn how surgery was carried out in a time without anaesthetics, antiseptics or even basic hygiene. Warning, not for the squeamish! Skittle Alley, Free Victorian Skittle Alley Thu 27 October, 11.00 - 15.00; Sun 30 October, 11.30 - 14.30 Hidden beneath the imposing classical domes of the Old Royal Naval College is a rather peculiar attraction - a well-preserved Victorian Skittle Alley. Originally built to satisfy the notoriously rowdy pensioners who lived here, it's now open for a limited time only. You can even have a go yourself using wooden practice cannonballs!
