Your views are important to us

The Old Royal Naval College is one of London’s most popular visitor attractions, at the heart of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, welcoming 1.2m local, national and international visitors annually.

With the opening of the newly conserved Painted Hall, this is a truly exciting time for the organisation as we embark on our most ambitious transformation to become an extraordinary cultural destination.

As we continue to build our plans, we want to invite you to help us shape them; tell us how you would like to see us deliver our vision and build our events, programmes and activities.

The Old Royal Naval College is a place like no other - inspiring local pride and world-wide acclaim - home to continuing education, entertainment, collaboration and spectacle.

But we have the ambition to do more; attract more visitors; tell more stories; engage and inspire new and more diverse communities.

Your stories, insights and feedback are invaluable and will help us understand what you expect to see and experience here, and how we might strike the right balance between different priorities and needs of our visitors, students and local communities as we go forward.

We have already begun the hard work of identifying what is important to our visitors and our wider community that will ensure our future sustainability and that of our heritage assets.

We have listened to views over the last year to identify some of the key action areas. This is not an exhaustive list and we welcome your feedback on what else should be included:

• How we tell the 500 years of history of the site
• Engaging new and existing audiences
• New activities to attract children and families
• Creative use of our physical environment and buildings
• Enhancing the understanding and experience of our site
• Signage and wayfinding
• Brand identity and name

We are committed to listening and responding to your views and will keep you informed of ways you can take part. We are planning some research and consultation activity in the following months including an online survey and a drop-in post on our site.
