The Old Royal Naval College is delighted to announce its first ever series of Open Air Cinema in partnership with Luna Cinema, the UK’s leading producer of open-air cinema events.

For three days in August, film lovers and musical fans across London can sit back in the stunning backdrop of Sir Christopher Wren’s riverside masterpiece and enjoy screenings of award-winning films and some of 2018’s bit cinema hitters; Les Miserables; The Greatest Showman; and Bohemian Rhapsody – we’ll be sure to be belting out a song or two.

For all the film buffs out there, this couldn’t be more fitting, dubbed by Empire Magazine as ‘the most popular filming location in the UK’, the Old Royal Naval College has seen hundreds of film and TV productions come through our grounds, including Les Miserables, one of the biggest film productions to take place on our site, having transformed our grounds in 2012 into a revolution-torn 18th Century France. See if you can spot where you are in relation to the scenes, or share your evening with us by tagging #oldroyalnavalcollege on social media!

What to expect:

Thursday 29 August 2019: Les Miserables

Friday 30 August: The Greatest Showman

Saturday 31 August: Bohemian Rhapsody

As always, The Luna Cinema audiences are welcome to bring along picnics to screenings. All events also have fantastic hot food for sale and a full bar on site, in partnership with headline bar sponsors, Estrella Damm. Premium tickets are available at all screenings, which include a branded director’s chair in prime position in the arena, fast track access and a complimentary drink at the Luna Bar.
