Seventeen landmark venues across England and Wales were chosen to host the Rugby World Cup 2015 team welcome ceremonies. The ceremonies celebrated the team's achievements and included friends and family of the team as well as the local community. The ceremonies were an official welcome to England and Wales, featuring the presentation of tournament caps and Rugby World Cup 2015 participation medals and the ORNC was lucky enough to be a part of this.

On the 14 September, the French rugby Team arrived at the ORNC for their ceremony and dinner in the Painted Hall. The ceremony had four cap and medal bearers of 16 – 24 year olds representing the legacy of the Rugby World Cup 2015. They were selected from local clubs and educational institutions and included players, Young Rugby Ambassadors and students from schools that are part of RFU’s All Schools Programme. The team were also welcomed by Trinity School from Croydon.
