Painted Hall Conservation Project gets a big boost Today we received some thrilling news from the Heritage Lottery Fund. We are to receive a £2.77 million grant towards our £7 million Painted Hall Project. After the success of the conservation of the Upper Hall, we can now go ahead with plans to clean and care for the remaining 3,700 square metres of paintings. It’s a massive undertaking that will transform how visitors experience the Painted Hall. We’re hugely excited about the opportunity the project will give us to work with new partners in the local community and beyond, share conservation skills and bring the stories behind the Painted Hall to life in creative ways. We have a lot of great ideas that we can’t reveal quite yet, and we would love to hear your thoughts on the scheme. Please support the project You can donate now online, or text ORNC11 £5 to 70070.
