Let your special someone be part of something special this Valentine’s Day.

This Valentine’s Day, give someone you love a beautiful gift, and help us bring the Painted Hall back to life by sponsoring a square foot for someone special.

We’ve launched a beautiful certificate of donation, commemorating the generosity of our donors. You can now take home a piece of history, and be part of the romantic story of the ‘darling object’ of Mary II.

A perfect match

At the heart of the Old Royal Naval College lies a tale of love, romance, and a little heartbreak. Our royal founders, William III and Mary II, were united in an arranged marriage in 1677 which became the perfect love match. When Mary died tragically young, William founded The Royal Hospital for Seamen at Greenwich in both their names, a project which had been close to Mary’s heart.

Our ongoing Sponsor a Square Foot campaign gives visitors a chance to be part of our project, conserving over 40,000 square feet of magnificent painted walls and ceilings.
