Greenwich + Docklands International Festival launches Pasture with Cows on Grand Square Greenwich + Docklands International Festival is back for 2019 with events across the Old Royal Naval College and beyond. The festival opened on Friday 21 June with Pasture with Cows situated in our Lower Grand Square. Conceived by Flemish artist collective Captain Boomer, featuring a massive gilt picture frame and two Hereford cows. Blurring the boundaries between art and reality, a giant painting comes to life as you take your seat on the frame, whilst a bucolic scene unfolds, with the cows grazing against the backdrop of Wren’s riverside masterpiece. Pasture with Cows forms just one of the events of Greenwich Fair (21 June-23 June 2019), with a series of exciting events taking place across the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College and nearby locations in Greenwich Town Centre. Greenwich Fair is GDIF's family-friendly weekend packed full of incredible street theatre, dance, games, circus and art from across the UK and Europe. To celebrate the festival we are offering festival-goers BUY 1 GET 1 HALF PRICE on Painted Hall tickets (use code GDIF2019 or pick up a flyer from on site) plus from 21-23 June, enjoy 10% off in the Painted Hall Café and Shop.
