The American Institute of Architects (AIA UK) has been a professional society of architects for over 150 years supporting over 80,000 members, and is one of the most influential voices in the architectural community in America and across the globe.

On Tuesday 30 April 2019, the AIA UK held their annual Excellence In Design Awards Gala at the Royal College of Physicians in Regent’s Park, with professional entries sought for projects from architects across the UK and over the world. Hugh Broughton Architects (HBA), lead architects on the Painted Hall Conservation Project was shortlisted for the award in early 2019, one of only a handful of projects to have done so.
